Our Story

Built From Friendship, Rooted in Community

M.E.T. Legacy Project started with three friends, Melissa Bell, Erin Schrumpf, and Torey Hoffman, who shared a love for their community and a passion for helping others.

The idea came to life through conversations at Bell Craft Brew Co., where they often talked about ways to give back, support local families, and create something meaningful beyond themselves. During those conversations, John Hoffman, Torey’s husband, encouraged them to turn their passion into something real, something that could leave a lasting impact on the community they care so deeply about.

What began as a simple idea between friends quickly grew into a shared mission centered around compassion, connection, and community. Together, Melissa, Erin, and Torey created M.E.T. Legacy Project to support women, children, and families throughout California’s Central Valley through mentorship, outreach, charitable support, and opportunities designed to uplift and empower others.

At its heart, M.E.T. Legacy Project is rooted in the belief that strong communities are built through kindness, support, and people willing to show up for one another. It’s about creating a legacy of encouragement, leadership, and love for future generations.
